We are HUE (formerly Harmonious Union Events), curating visions, producing one-of-a-kind experiences, and guiding the Southern Wisconsin event industry forward since 2015.
HUE Core Values
We are commonly the most personal vendor relationship a client will have when planning their wedding. We tailor our approach to exactly what the client needs both in pace and communication style. We are honest but kind, and make everyone’s life easier.
Every problem comes with solutions and every set of logistics has a battle plan. We turn fuzzy pieces of a vision into a well-executed event in just a matter of time, no matter where you are at in your process.
Each event is a new event. We have a wide variety of experience, a diverse portfolio of clients, and can work with many budgets. We’re always up for learning new traditions, cultures, or styles. Bring us anything!
We are continually present in our community and industry, educating ourselves and building our network. Vendors are just as excited to work with us as clients are, and we always have the latest scoop.
We are a team. We work together, celebrate together, and look out for one another every day, to make sure each team member is reaching their dreams, both personally and professionally.

Offbeat Bride/Life features
Sarah Davidson, CPCE – Chief Strategist + Creative Director
Sarah is a sought after event industry consultant, planner, and strategist. She has served the Southern Wisconsin event industry for over a decade in various capacities, including tenure on the Board of Directors for the local chapters of the National Association of Catering and Events (NACE) and the National Association of Wedding Professionals (NAWP). She has received numerous awards for her work, including the coveted “Wedding of the Year” from NACE.
Throughout her career, she has worked on hundreds of weddings and events both in the capacity as a planner, as well as a venue manager. Having experience in these roles allows her to continually view the industry from multiple sides and see the bigger picture for success. She knows what today’s clients want, and what a vendor needs in place to fully implement their vision successfully.
Sarah Davidson is a creatively driven, prosecco drinking, Madison-centric mompreneur who is ready to help you meet both your personal and professional creative goals through expert knowledge and a strong desire to guide the industry forward together.
Loni Maximoff – Director of Weddings
Loni met Sarah while working at the Majestic Theatre after moving to Madison in 2015. As a testament to what we preach: “people love to work with us,” an instant friendship and genuine love of working together (swoon!), encouraged Loni to join Sarah part-time in her goal to make wedding planning an exciting and inspired experience for couples.
Loni is a doting cat mom to her fuuurocious kitty, Nimbus, and at-home beer brewer with her husband, Q. She loves a DIY challenge and if you need a hand with a wedding craft, her only charge is a bottle of wine and a decent snack selection.
It’s been an evolving journey, and as we approach a 6th wedding season as a team, Loni took the leap to pursue this venture full-time – focusing on creating the best weddings possible and working our methods in an effort to always provide a current and flawless planning process for you.
Jessie-Rae Starr – Event Consultant
The “Starrs” aligned when Jessie first met Sarah. They were co-workers at the Madison Children’s Museum with Jessie as the point person for day-of event logistics. She was the lead conductor with the orchestra of vendors, coordinating setup, supervising event staff, and making sure every single detail was executed without a hitch. The first time Sarah asked Jessie to assist with a HUE event, she lept at the chance!
Jessie is a self-confessed plant & floral nerd and appreciates beautiful décor design details, which will really set your event apart. She’s constantly gaining inspiration for new ideas by taking in the details of life and browsing through social media channels. She loves helping create a stress-free day so everyone can focus on making their day memorable without having to worry about a thing!
Abby Polnow – Event Consultant
We’re excited to welcome our newest member to the HUE tribe! Although she’s fresh to our team, the world of events is second nature to Abby, as she has been in the industry for nearly fourteen years. She has held several positions throughout the industry in both the Chicago and Madison markets which include Catering Manager, Special Events Manager and Director of Sales.
While Abby spends the majority of her time as a Corporate Event Planner, coordinating weddings has always secretly been her favorite. Her mantra in life is, “it’s all in the details” and you can rest assured that every detail of your big day will be taken care of. Abby and Sarah have been colleagues and friends for the past few years, and it was about time they made things official!
