Have you every met someone and instantly knew you would be friends? That’s exactly the vibes I got from Jen and Sam. They were such a down to earth couple that they made planning from a distance a piece of cake. Planning their nuptials from San Francisco, Jen and Sam had a connection to Wisconsin due to a clandestine meeting at a Chain of Lakes cabin that brought them together.

Jen and Sam wanted a real Wisconsin wedding and the O’Brien Barn, an active farm…complete with cows, delivered. Probably only slightly due to Jen’s Etsy employment, there were personal, creative touches everywhere. From family arranging the reception floral, to specialty La Croix cocktails (a favorite beverage of the couple), to beer sourced from Kansas City and Buffalo (a nod to each their hometowns), to a friend of the couple serving as the officiant, you could tell that this day was a perfect reflection of them. Cheese curds OBVIOUSLY made an appearance and were fried on-site by Upstairs Downstairs. As the resident Wisconsinite, I was more than happy to test them out and make sure there were up to Sconnie standards.
