Meagan + Sam | Madison, Wisconsin | Simple Summer Downtown Wedding at The Tinsmith

We love when HUE becomes part of the family! We first met Meagan and Sam in Spring of 2020 after receiving a referral from Meagan’s sister Whitney, who we had already been planning an August of 2020 wedding with. Sadly Whitney and David’s wedding needed to be postponed due to Covid, and the joke was that Meagan + Sam just took their date instead, a year later!

We appreciated the simple elegance these two desired, knowing that their venue, The Tinsmith, did not need much dressing up. Instead, the focus could remain solely on the joy of coming together. Speaking of that, their family’s got the opportunity to do this twice in just one month’s time between the two sister’s weddings, where each served as the other’s Maid of Honor!

We loved that Meagan + Sam didn’t take themselves too seriously, and made sure to have a lot of fun sprinkled in throughout the day – with the photos to prove it!⁠

Congrats again, M + S!

We loved all the beautiful greens and simple summery blooms from Daffodil Parker sprinkled throughout the venue and in girls’ bouquets!

Sam’s reaction to his soon-to-be-bride was one of the sweetest we’ve seen. These two partied their way right back down the aisle and headed out on the town for some Madison area photos!

It was so special for our HUE crew to help with both of these sisters’ big days! Their love for each other and bond are so evident.

Congratulations again, Meagan + Sam! It was an honor to play a role in your beautiful day and the start of your marriage!

Whitney + David | Madison, Wisconsin | Glam Downtown Wedding at The Sylvee

After postponing their wedding date TWICE, the third time was a charm for Whitney and David, who hosted their celebration at The Sylvee that focused on their values and vibe as a couple throughout. The wedding of this awesome California-based couple included many personal touches from their community, with the evening’s MC and reception band being childhood friends of Whitney’s!⁠⁠

⁠One of Madison’s newest and most unique wedding venues, The Sylvee did not require much dressing up, but our HUE crew had fun with what we did, including a few glam pieces from Event Essentials and A La Crate Rentals, all captured masterfully by Tim Fitch Photography, of course!⁠

⁠⁠We LOVED our planning journey with this couple, who had the perfect balance of both keeping it fun and keeping it real. Congrats Whitney + David!⁠

⁠⁠P.S. we also loved that Whitney told her sister Meagan that she HAD to hire the HUE team for her big day as well and we got to celebrate with them this past year too!

We were in love with the ambiance of The Sylvee and their industrial vibe that was such an easy blank canvas to transform Whitney + David’s wedding day into the unique and beautiful one that it was.

We had all hands on deck flipping this gorgeous ceremony space into a dinner scene during their happy hour and then flipping it again into a dance floor for this fun-loving couple to dance the night away with their loved ones!

One of our favorite parts of their day was coordinating the logistics to play a pre-recorded toast from David’s mom who was battling cancer in Tennessee and couldn’t attend their special day. The raw emotion was felt throughout the entire venue.

Vennesa + Matt: Monona Terrace + Madison Concourse Hotel Wedding

Vennesa and Matt were adorably sweet, extremely fun, and so, so in love. At the initial phone call, we knew this couple was looking to create a day their guests would never forget. The one piece that was SO important was the fact that almost all the guests traveled in from out of town and some even from out of the country (Vennesa grew up in Jamaica)! Therefore all activities were kept centralized to downtown Madison. The Monona Terrace for the ceremony and The Concourse Hotel for the reception helped us curate the perfect day with convenience for everyone involved. We’d recommend both time and time again.

From the beautiful, outdoor ceremony held under a handmade arch by Matt’s dad to the glamorous reception with delicate and glitzy decor, the wedding day was filled with amazing details. The speeches given by Vennesa and Matt’s friends were extremely touching and a true testament to the bond they have with one another. Every moment of the wedding was a special piece and it was clear that their loved ones were moved by all the surprises provided by the couple.
