Meagan + Sam | Madison, Wisconsin | Simple Summer Downtown Wedding at The Tinsmith

We love when HUE becomes part of the family! We first met Meagan and Sam in Spring of 2020 after receiving a referral from Meagan’s sister Whitney, who we had already been planning an August of 2020 wedding with. Sadly Whitney and David’s wedding needed to be postponed due to Covid, and the joke was that Meagan + Sam just took their date instead, a year later!

We appreciated the simple elegance these two desired, knowing that their venue, The Tinsmith, did not need much dressing up. Instead, the focus could remain solely on the joy of coming together. Speaking of that, their family’s got the opportunity to do this twice in just one month’s time between the two sister’s weddings, where each served as the other’s Maid of Honor!

We loved that Meagan + Sam didn’t take themselves too seriously, and made sure to have a lot of fun sprinkled in throughout the day – with the photos to prove it!⁠

We loved all the beautiful greens and simple summery blooms from Daffodil Parker sprinkled throughout the venue and in girls’ bouquets!

Sam’s reaction to his soon-to-be-bride was one of the sweetest we’ve seen. These two partied their way right back down the aisle and headed out on the town for some Madison area photos!

It was so special for our HUE crew to help with both of these sisters’ big days! Their love for each other and bond are so evident.

We’ve been waiting forever to be a part of our first wedding at Sugarland, and looking back we now realize we were just waiting for the right couple! Emma + EJ were a match made in heaven for one another and, not to be biased, they felt like a pretty great match for us too!⁠ 😉

These two lit up the room, and the amount of charm oozing from the day was enough to make any southern belle swoon. ⁠One of our favorite parts was a customized wine ceremony during the wedding, performed by one of our most trusted officiant partners, Arthur Hendrick. ⁠We also loved the intimate feeling of their dinner at Old Feed Mill, the perfect way to cap the perfect day.⁠

Sugarland’s enchanting garden wedding venue features a restored farmhouse, quaint country cottage, and a one-of-a-kind authentic Wisconsin Barn. We love the dreamy cascading fountain on their beautifully landscaped property!

Emma and EJ shared their gorgeous ceremony underneath the shade of an old majestic Oak tree surrounded by loved ones.

We loved the intimate dinner these two shared with their loved ones at the beautiful Old Feed Mill filled with country elegance!

We couldn’t take our eyes off the colorful, vibrant + summery floral arrangements Jane Kelly Floral designed! The Milwaukee Art Museum was the perfect place for Annie + Jason to capture some stunning couples photos with Tim Fitch Photography.

The Milwaukee Historical Society offered both a unique and elegant setting for Annie + Jason’s wedding day with cool features like a bank vault, cozy mezzanine level, marble pillars, and more right in the heart of downtown Milwaukee along the river!

We’re obsessed with this classic and elegant cake from The Cake Lady to top off A + J’s sweet celebration!

Having a wedding timeline is a crucial part of planning your celebration. Not only for you and your soon-to-be spouse, but for your vendors, family, and wedding party alike! It’s important for everyone to be on the same page (literally) and have your vision in mind! You’ll likely be contracting with multiple different businesses for your wedding, and it’s either on you or your wedding planner (if you have one) to be the one central point for everyone.

Abbe + Kevin | Madison, Wisconsin | Elegant Glam Burgundy + Gold Wedding at The Tinsmith

With wedding colors of burgundy and gold, I knew I was going to like Abbe + Kevin from the start. Add on the fact that Abbe had spent a decade herself as a wedding photographer, with an additional degree in Event Management, and we immediately clicked from day one of working together!

Everything about Abbe + Kevin’s wedding at The Tinsmith had personal touches, from Abbe’s grandmother’s charm pinned to her bouquet, to the elegant DIY-ed signage, all the way to playing Star Wars music for the Grand March! Yep, they’re that cool.

Our HUE crew especially loved listening to the toasts from those near and dear to the couple, easily feeling the amount of support radiating for them within the room. It was something truly special.
