Nina + Tommy: Fluno Center – Madison, WI

U Rah Rah, Wisconsin! Today we’re diving back into the details of Nina and Tommy’s early June nuptials, the first wedding that we were lucky enough to be a part of at the Fluno Center, in the heart of UW-Madison’s campus. It was easy to tell how much love was in the room for these two!

Red and white vibrant hues of love and romance as well as UW colors were seen accented in their cake, ceremony, and all table accents on their special day. We find that floral arrangements made this wedding richer and brighter. Contrasting the deep wood of the interior with white linens, fabrics, and cake really made them stand out. Of course, the stars of any wedding are the family, friends and the happy couple!

Joanie + Brandon: Memorial Union Wedding

I’m a sucker for a warm summer day. Even better if it’s one spent at the Wisconsin Union Terrace. Joanie and Brandon may or may not feel the same way, which likely had an influence on their June wedding at the historic Memorial Union.

This was our first wedding that we had the honor of working together with Caynay Photo, and WOW did she just nail it! Her work showed beautiful consistency starting with the delicate details, through the tradition of the venue, and of course incorporating those bright summer colors. What a way to relive things!

Speaking of those delicate details, we loved how Generations Wedding Flowers reminded us all how small pieces can have a big impact. Though the Great Hall may be grand, their table design lended to an elegant and intimate atmosphere, which was exactly what the couple wanted in the end.

Kaitlyn + Andy: Union South Wedding

The perfect summer wedding for the sweetest couple! I loved working with Kaitlyn and Andy on their special day. The ceremony was touching and I loved that Pastor Zimmick knew the couple from the Asbury congregation. Everything felt personalized from then on and you could actually feel the love from all their friends and family. I rarely admit I cry during vows anymore, but I can say I don’t think I saw a dry eye in the room before everyone whisked away to Union South.

The elegant decor at Union South complimented Kaitlyn and Andy beautifully. There’s just something about a lush bunch of hydrangeas on a table that sends my senses into overdrive–from the scent to the visual aesthetic, it felt so romantic. Dinner topped off with a delicious slice of cake from Carl’s, what more could any guest ask for?

…but wait. As the dance floor started grooving, a very special visit from Bucky (!!!) was a true nod to the couple’s UW roots. And after that you ask? A late night nacho bar for those still partying the night away! The fun never stopped!  

My favorite part about working with this couple was being able to help two people who deserved the best day ever. Cheers to Kaitlyn and Andy–may your palpable love continue to grow!
