Lindsay and Ivo fulfilled a very unique wedding theme — complete surprise. Yep, that’s right. They didn’t tell a soul about the wedding until their closest friends and family were gathered and they arrived to the party in a wedding attire!

You see, Ivo sent the invites and told everyone he was inviting them to New Year’s Eve party where he would surprise Lindsay with an engagement. Since it was NYE, he also told everyone to dress up and be ready to party all night long. The shock and joy on the guests faces when they saw the couple descend the stairs at The AC Hotel in their suit and gown was so pure, it could bring even the coldest soul to tears.

Shuttles then took guests to the ceremony at Gates of Heaven, where their absolutely stunning vows took place. Quartessence played romantic ambient music while guests arrived and the couple walked down the aisle. The couple opted to lean into their seasonal surroundings, and worked with Daffodil Parker to design a dreamy winter garden within the small synagogue to set the scene for their nuptials.

After, the guests were whisked away to The Coopers Tavern upstairs level for dinner and dancing the night away, thanks to tunes from Sound by Design. Simple, modern floral centerpieces with plenty of romantic candlelight set the stage down long rows of harvest tables and the atmosphere was warm and full of love as the party when on all night long. Continuing past the stroke of midnight, this was a New Year’s Eve their guests (and the couple) would never forget.

Amy and Jonny – you’re married!! The journey was a winding one, but it all came together beautifully in the end. Aside from working with the delightful couple, this was actually my first opportunity to work with a new set of Friendors in the Milwaukee area, which was nothing but enjoyable. When you’re surrounded by the right people, everything just seems to fall in place (Marriage – am I right?)

Can I just point out how good looking these two are?? This day was built perfectly for you especially thanks to Schlitz Audubon Nature Center and Impressions by Esther Flemming. PianoFondue “played” their part as well by transitioning us from classic dinner tunes to pump up party music as the night went on.
